What is Coaching?

There are really only two things that matter when it comes to coaching; what I can do for you and whether we are a good match. The only way we will know these two things is to have a conversation. And structured coaching conversations are what I love to do - so please - if you are considering coaching or working with me, contact me and I will set aside a introductory 20 minute session for you. Why Might you Need life Coaching?

Performance coaching

It has been said that nobody needs coaching, and I totally agree. Nobody needs it, they want it! They want it because they know it can make the difference between life going along as it is or making a fundamental shift in record time to achieve more of what they want in life. Coaching really is a catalyst for greater success. Whether the shift is needed in your career, relationships, finances, health or family, coaching can help you focus on what you really need to change and create a plan to do this. Could you do it on your own? Probably - but have you?! It's actually really hard to coach yourself, even coaches have coaches! Speaking with a coach can bring clarity and insight that is never gained chatting to friends or working through it on your own. Try it, request a session with me and see for yourself.
Performance coaching usually focuses on a specific sport, event or challenge. There are various techniques that are used from sports psychology like visualisation, goal setting and breathing techniques but I also like to focus on psychological wellbeing. Often clients are affected by underling issues, beliefs or thoughts that hold them back. During acutely stressful events, like a competition or when attempting something out of ones comfort zone, we don't want these emotions and associated thoughts to interfere with performance. 
A key area I use in my coaching is positive psychology with is the study of optimal performance and wellbeing. The two go hand in hand. I work with clients to help them manage emotions and lead to greater performance using a strengths based approach.

What are my credentials?

I am a certified Cognitive Behavioural Coach who is an Associate Member of the International Society for Coaching Psychology. In addition I have a a first class degree in Psychology and am a Neuro Lingusitic Programming Practitioner with experience working in this field for the past 7 years.
